i'VE GOT A GREAT REP - Patrice Bockos

I live in the beautiful city of Portland, Maine. It is the perfect place for shooting urban scenes using the gorgeous parks and architecture as backdrops or in five minutes be at the ocean or surrounded by woods, flowers fields and nature. Although I often shoot in New York and I am happy to travel anywhere.

I studied fine arts at Boston University School of Fine Arts and  photography and film making at The School for the Museum of Fine Arts / Tufts University.  I started as a street photographer and gradually became a lifestyle photographer

My clients include Arm & Hammer, French's, Disney, Stride Rite, Brookstone, Lever 2000, Parent's, Family Fun, Shape etc. My images have been licensed by Toyota, Coca-Cola, Walmart, Kodak, Wells Fargo, Tylenol, Volkswagen, Scrub Bugs and Force of Nature. etc.

Editorial clients include People, Newsweek, Real Simple, Family Circle, Oprah, Family Fun, Parenting, Child, Prevention, Shape etc.

I have had the  privilege to study with Master Photographers Mary Ellen Mark, Eugene Richards and Ernesto Bazan traveling to Cuba, Mexico, Cambodia and Sicily to continue my  passion of street photography. This work can be seen in my 'Of Mice and Men' page.

I founded a non-profit organization called The Nightingale Project which is a free traveling art school to those in need. I have taken a group to Cambodia and twice to Haiti teaching art and photography to children. Visit the site and watch our beautiful movie.

My personal project ‘Hometown' has just been printed in an 80 page book with the introduction by Ernesto Bazan. It is 30 year photographic project of every day life in the town I grew up and lived most of my life.. It spans the time from 1982-2015. The book can be purchased at
